FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions.

Can I apply if my CGHS claim has already been partially reimbursed?
Yes. The trust specifically covers the gap between CGHS reimbursement and actual treatment costs. Submit both the CGHS settlement amount and total bills to show the shortfall.
Is there a limit on how many times I can apply?
There is no fixed limit. For ongoing treatments (like dialysis or chemotherapy), periodic applications are accepted. Each application is evaluated on its merits by the committee.
Can I apply for a family member's treatment?
Yes. Spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents of the employee are covered. The employee must be the applicant and provide relationship proof.
How long does it take to receive the funds?
Standard cases are processed within 7–10 working days. Emergency cases are expedited and may be resolved within 24–48 hours depending on the committee's emergency session.
What if my documents are incomplete?
The trust office will contact you for missing documents. Partial applications are held for 30 days while you complete the submission. No application is rejected without giving the applicant an opportunity to complete it.
Is the assistance taxable?
Medical reimbursements from the trust are generally exempt from income tax under applicable provisions. Consult your tax advisor for individual circumstances.
